The HET System is a non-surgical device for the treatment of internal hemorrhoids. The hemorrhoids are treated with a unique ligation technology, resulting in their shrinkage and subsequent resolution of uncomfortable symptoms. The procedure is usually well-tolerated and patients experience either no pain, or brief, mild discomfort. For more information, click the image below.
Compared to IRC (Infrared Coagulation) hemorrhoid therapy, HET offers a more comprehensive treatment, resulting in longer lasting results. Unlike, the IRC, though, HET requires anesthesia. Patients, therefore, need to have transportation to and from the facility and are required to be NPO (nothing by mouth) after midnight, the night before the procedure.
