What is Clinical Research?
Clinical research studies people to understand health and disease. Clinical research helps improve the way doctors treat and prevent illness. Clinical research evaluates the safety and effectiveness of treatments, medications, and medical devices.
Why Participate?
Patients participate in studies for different reasons which vary from unsuccessful current market treatments to those that want to “make a difference” for the next generation, or those that want to contribute to the advancement of medical science.
Types of Research We Offer
Clinical Trials – Our research team is currently conducting multiple-visit clinical trials related to the treatment of the following gastrointestinal conditions:
- Active Ulcerative Colitis
- Active Crohn’s Disease
Other Studies – There are also opportunities for one-time, single-visit research studies for people:
- Diagnosed with Barrett’s Esophagus
- Newly diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer
- Who are scheduled for a routine, screening colonoscopy
