What are the hours of operation?
- Colon Stomach and Liver Center’s hours are: Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm.
- Loudoun Endoscopy Group’s hours are: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:00pm.
Can I call to schedule a colonoscopy?
A consultation with a provider is required prior to scheduling a colonoscopy. After the consultation, the provider will determine if a colonoscopy is necessary and schedule the procedure accordingly.

What insurances do we accept?
The Colon, Stomach and Liver Center and the Loudoun Endoscopy Group accepts most major insurances. We do not accept the following insurances:
- Medicaid
- Humana Gold
If not using insurance, charges will follow the self-pay rates.

How early should I arrive to my office visit appointment?
Please arrive 15 minutes early prior to the appointment time.
What should I bring to my appointment?
- Insurance cards
- Photo ID
- Current medication list
- Lab work
- Imaging
- Consult notes from previous GI provider (no discs)
- All Colonoscopy/Endoscopy reports and pathology
- Surgical procedures reports (especially related to GI)
- Infusion records
- Hospital paperwork/Hospital discharge paperwork (including lab work and any Imaging done during hospital stay.)
If I need to reschedule an office visit appointment, when should I call?
24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment to avoid a $50 no show/cancellation fee.
If I need to reschedule my procedure, when should I call?
14 business days prior to the scheduled procedure appointment to avoid a $250 no show/cancellation fee.

Can I drink coffee?
Yes, black coffee only. No dairy products.
Can I use sugar in my coffee?
Yes, no dairy products.
Can I mix the prep with clear liquid?
Yes, all preps can be mixed with clear liquids, EXCEPT for Clenpiq. Please follow all prep instructions provided by our office.
What do I need to do one week prior to my procedure?
Do not take iron supplements, multivitamins with iron, fish oil, or NSAIDs/Aspirin products. Iron in foods are fine (ex: spinach). Topical NSAIDS are fine. Please follow pre-prep instructions provided by our office.
Can I eat strawberries?
No, as they contain seeds, and should be avoided one week prior to scheduled procedure.
What are considered seeds?
Examples of foods with seeds are: chia seeds, berries, and tomatoes.
Can I start my prep for my colonoscopy earlier or later than instructed?
No, It is imperative to follow prep instructions as directed. Any changes to the instructions may result in an incomplete prep and affect the colonoscopy procedure.
How much will my procedure cost? Why did I receive more than one statement for my procedure?
When having a procedure at the Loudoun Endoscopy Group, LLC, there will be 3 to 4 claims submitted to your insurance plan(S):
- physician
- facility
- anesthesia
- pathology
Each procedure is unique to each patient. Some procedures involve multiple methods of treatment. Each treatment (biopsy, polyp, dilatation, injection, and additional pathology codes, etc.) is coded separately; more than one CPT code can be billed for the procedure from the physician, facility, and pathology.
What is my copay?
Sometimes, copays will be listed on the insurance card. If they are not listed on the card, please contact the insurance company.
Because Colon Stomach and Liver Center is considered a specialty, please be aware that the copay may be higher than the copay for a primary care physician office visit.
Do you accept my insurance?
The Colon, Stomach and Liver Center and the Loudoun Endoscopy Group accepts most major insurances. We do not accept the following insurances:

Do you offer financial assistance?
Yes, we do offer financial assistance; please contact the Billing Office at (703)723-3670 option 5 and ask to speak with a Billing Specialist. We may offer payment plans.
Self-pay fee schedule: If the patient does not have insurance, we can set up a fee schedule for office visits and procedures. These self-pay fees will be collected at the time of service.
How can I pay my bill?
You have three options to pay a bill:
- Mail in the cash or check with the statement.
- Call the billing office at (703) 723-3670 option 5 to pay with a credit/debit card over the phone.
- Pay via our Patient Portal.
What payment methods are accepted at the office?
Colon Stomach and Liver Center and Loudoun Endoscopy Group accept the following options for payment:
- Cash
- Check
- All major credit cards/debit cards
What is the difference between a Screening Colonoscopy and a Diagnostic Colonoscopy?
Do I need a Pre-Certification and/or Prior Authorization?
It is the patient’s responsibility to know whether a pre-cert or prior authorization is required for office visits, procedures, and/or anesthesia. Please contact the insurance company to check the benefits.
Do I need a referral?
It is the patient’s responsibility to know if a referral is required. The referral with come from either the Primary Care Physician or from the insurance company. It is the patient’s responsibility to obtain a referral prior to the appointment.
